How to Reach the Lodge
Zululand Lodge is located ±20km north of Hluhluwe, northern KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, off the R22 between Hluhluwe and Sodwana, on a private conservancy on the Msinene River bordering Munyawane Game Reserve.
The lodge is accessible by sedan car on ±5km gravel road. Access is by appointment only — phone the lodge manager +27 (0)63 697 6116 for gate access.

Directions from Hluhluwe
Travel out of Hluhluwe on the R22 to Sodwana. ±15km from the railway crossing, turn off the R22 onto P476 at Zulu Croc tent (signboard towards Zulu Nyala and Heritage Safari Lodge). After 400m turn right at Umzinene farm road. After 600m the road splits — take the left fork (just after the pond on the right). This takes you between two game fences to a solar-powered gate. Phone the lodge duty phone +27 (0)63 697 6116 (they can open the gate remotely). Drive straight to the second gate, phone again, then follow the ZULULAND LODGE signs.
Directions from Pongola
Following the N2 southbound, do not take D242 (97km from Pongola). Remain on the N2 for ±5km and take the next off-ramp left (D722) signboard to Phinda & Zulu Nyala. Turn left away from the N2 to a T-junction on gravel; turn right onto P2-8 towards Ngweni train siding. After 4.4km turn left following Msinene & Zulu Nyala and cross the railway. After 8.8km turn left at Umzinene farm road (if you reach Zulu Croc you have gone 400m too far). After 600m take the left fork after the pond, then follow the same gate procedure as above.
